Bristol Motor Speedway: “This is another race track where it is short track racing at its finest.  But unlike Indianapolis, where you can pass up high or on the bottom, Bristol is harder to pass on.  The banking provides much more of a challenge for the drivers.  It keeps you pushed down the whole time you are racing.  It is really an endurance race.  You constantly have to be on your toes because things happen so fast.  Something can happen in turn three and you be in the middle of one and two and get caught up in it.  Think about it, you travel around that track in 15 seconds so blinking can cause you to be behind.”

Short Track Aggravation: “Sure our tempers flare out there after a good short track race.  We are all competitors who came to win so anyone who gets in our way will be pushed aside.  If we were not mad over a bad finish then we are not doing our jobs correctly.  Since Bristol is so hard to pass on it usually makes for more aggravation.  It’s just par for the course there.   There is usually somewhere on the truck that needs to be fixed after Bristol.  Some teams even add more support to the front of their trucks for this particular race trying to keep the grille from getting pushed in too bad.  It’s a great race for the fans for sure but maybe not so much for the extra work on the teams it can create.”
